Website design company EMS Internet today announced plans to create 125 jobs over the next 12 months with a new division and the opening of its second office.
EMS Internet specialises in search engine optimisation and building and maintaining websites for small and medium-sized companies.
It has launched EMS Media, which will focus on building mobile websites, smart phone app development, quick response codes and social media marketing campaigns for SMEs.
Bosses hope the venture will boost group revenues from £2.5m last year to £4.5m in 2012.
EMS currently has 75 staff and is initially looking to add up to 50 employees at its new office just yards from its main premises in the centre of Warrington.
The Bank Street-based firm, which was founded in 1999 and is led by chief executive Anthony Wilson, has more than 20,000 customers.
Mr Wilson, who started the firm from his spare bedroom, said: "Within 12 months, EMS expect to employ a further 125 new employees, which is a clear statement that we are really looking to capitalise on the massive growth of mobile media, QR codes and social media interaction for small businesses.
