Web design help involving buttons?

I am creating a web site on fashion! I am making it kinda into punk, and gothic fashion! So the background img is something I created that is a deep blend of purple with black butterfliez around the edges, etc.
But my side is a sketch of a woman

I think Victorian style images - Buttons (off of cloths), lace, ribbon, pearls, shoes - is a great idea. Make sure they are not too big.
It might be better to have the background color as purple and place bands of the black butterflies around
