How much does it cost to remove a company logo/"designed by" from your website design?

A company designed a website for me and have "designed by. . ." at the bottom of the page. I feel this makes the website seem a little amateur, they've done other websites without putting this why mine? What's the best way to go about having

You may have copyright issues if you try to modify the page design. You may own the site, but the designer may own the layout.

If you don't have a contract specifying who owns the rights, then it is practically automatic that the designer

This method worked perfectly for years and Flawless continued to add photos year by year to showcase their work.

Within recent years phones and tablet computers have been introduced, this innovative technology took the country by storm. Everyone had to have an iphone, ipad or android. The touch technology was mesmerizing and much faster than any technology that was on the market thus far. For the most part this was great news for Flawless Masonry, Owner Devin Faello expressed that bringing his ipad to show potential customers their work was easier than lugging around heavy photo galleries. There was only one bad part, Some of the new phones and tablets do not read flash, which means that if you looking at Flawless Masonry's website on your phone or tablet the photo gallery would not show up. This would not be a problem for Flawless Masonry, they understand that they have to change with the times and new technology changes everyday. Flawless turned to Long Island Website Designers, Benjamin Marc once again to come up with a way to showcase their photo galleries for every computer, phone and tablet. Benjamin Marc advised that Flawless used java script. and jquery plugins. Benjamin Marc implemented the new scripting to the galleries and Flawless is able to show their beautiful work on every device.
