Professional CV building advice, when is too much, too much?

Bit of a background. I am mid 30's, went back to university at 30, have 1 year left of a BFA in graphic design/advertising. And I am looking for work, building a 4 page CV, and a web-site to go along with it.

But how much is too much in

Personally as a recruiter I really hate reading CVs where people are dumping way too much praise about themselves.
