What is the best free website page template, designing, editing & publishing software for a beginner?

i have purchased domain name but want to host website myself through any such software.. can u plz name any such software (web page editing, designing template) that can help me as i hav no technical knowledge of these matters.

Some free web hosts may provide a website template builder. Unfortunately, when you move your site, you often cannot take your site design with you to another host. The templates are usually licensed for use only on that particular host.

Website X5 Evolution is billed as web design software that can create a site in “five easy steps”, but while we found that to be true when we reviewed version 8 two years ago, we weren’t overly impressed by that version's rather rudimentary-looking results.

Since it counts the “redesign of existing features” and “addition of new features” among its list of improvements, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from version 9, but our hopes weren’t high when we first ran the program. Website X5 Evolution 8’s dated interface has been given a fresh cosmetic overhaul, but the core operation of the program appears to have changed little.

Website X5 Evolution 9’s five steps are presented as numbered options down the left of its window and while the wizard-led web creation process steps through each in turn, each can also be selected at any time. A new site begins as a new project, where such basic information as the site title, URL (if it exists at this stage) and assorted metadata are entered as part of step one.

Opening a web design studio or a web templates site?

Most people will want their own design anyways, so designing a bunch of templates will end up wasting your time anyways…. As a web marketer / web designer myself, I’d recommend just doing it from scratch and using that as your portfolio to show other people. Hi, I think both ideas are great But from my point of view I think it will be easier to open a web design studion (this is my dream)....
