Trampolines get Sky High Sports jumping
There's a new hot spot in Woodland Hills where kids can get as high as they want and bounce off the walls. Flipping out is also encouraged.
Welcome to Sky High Sports, a 35,000 square-foot colorful facility outfitted with 360 trampolines lined up wall-to-wall.
That's where Anthony Cruz, 13, of Woodland Hills, was bouncing around on a recent Friday after school.
"It's pretty cool. It's a fun place," Cruz said. "I like to do flips, back flips and it's fun jumping high."
Kevin Melendez, 14, of Canoga Park, tries to get his flipping kicks every two weeks. He also likes playing dodgeball.
"It's entertaining and it's fun," he said of the facility.
Sky High Sports has about 15 locations in seven states. The Woodland Hills site opened in early December and is owned by Santa Barbara residents Ron and Tara Whited. They also own a 41,000 square foot facility that opened in Camarillo in October 2010.
