Web Feet Beach Boutique in Atlantic City full of colors, design and creativity

ATLANTIC CITY — The outside of the Web Feet Beach Boutique looks like the rundown shack it once was. But inside, visitors find colorful clothing, jewelry, artwork and essential items for summer at the shore.
Reggae music plays on the sound system, and shoppers are likely to be greeted by Romeo, the owner’s Lhasa Apso-poodle mix.
The boutique specializes in handmade clothing from Nepal for women and children, most of it fair traded, owner Dotty Webb of Atlantic City said.
“The only problem is every one is an original,” so if you want something in a different size or color, you’re out of luck, Webb said. But the advantage is you won’t see anyone else wearing the same thing.
Web Feet also sells sunglasses — from pricey designer brands to fun shades for dogs — jewelry and handbags. There is a separate room for men, and artist Guy Harvey’s shirts with fish designs are a big hit with anglers, Webb said.
Upstairs is the art collection, with shore-themed paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures. Webb said she is looking for local artists and sculptors to offer their beach-oriented work on consignment.
