IN the Chester & District FA C&C Catering Equipment Senior Cup quarter-finals, Blacon Youth made the most of home advantage, beating Crossway 8-2 thanks to goals by Aiden Shannon (3), Adam Langton (2), Ben Davies, Jamie Rogers and Ross Broadbent while Paul Thomas and John Shipton scored the consolations.
Jack Delgado and Keiron Smith combined to move Chester Nomads into the semi-finals after they beat Christleton 2-0 while Shaftesbury Youth booked their place in the semis of the CDFL Roodee Web Designs Tom Geraghty Memorial Trophy with a 6-2 away win over Raby Villa as Jamie Smith (3), Lee Griffiths (2) and Liam Matty were the marksmen.
In the CDFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division Groves Sports & Social let a 3-1 half-time lead slip away to Lever Athletic. Phil Quinlan (2) and Shaun Weaver were the Groves marksmen with Leo Handley, Anthony Mallon and John Condon replying.
In the CDFL Olympic Trophies Division One Uberlube continued there fine form with a 3-2 home win over Cestrian Alex. Matty Elson, Graham Dodd and Richard Branson were scorers for Uberlube with Adi Gough and Dave Stockton replying.
