SOUTH ORANGETOWN The South Orangetown school district offered 25 students in the middle and high school the opportunity to attend Virtual High School Global Consortium, an online education program offering over 200 full semester courses in arts, business, English language arts, foreign language, life skills, mathematics, science, social studies and technology. The VHS offers courses to students from grade 7 thru 12 in six-month terms. The participating students submitted essays, responded to surveys, posted assignments, and responded to other student posts in order to receive satisfactory grades. Some of the courses chosen by the South Orangetown Middle school students included business fundamentals (Kyle Fuller); sociology (Livy Vartels); mythology, followed by a second term of animations and effects (Sienna Perry); screen writing fundamentals (Jarrett Morley); American popular music from the American Revolution thru the 1980's (Skylar Karzhevsky); and animation and effects, followed
