City website gets makeover
22.05.12
PARKERSBURG - The city's website has a new look.
The city's new-look website went on-line earlier this week, sporting a sleek, trendy look. Mayor Bob Newell said it was a makeover.
"The same information, just made over in a different way," he said.
The home page opens with pictures of the city, including a night shot of the Belpre Bridge from Point Park, an overview of the downtown and the Ohio River from Fort Boreman Park, an overhead shot from the Blennerhassett Hotel of the Taste of Parkersburg, as well as photos of the Wood County Courthouse and the Oil and Gas Museum.
The site has been redesigned by Heath Honaker. The new design removed immediate links to the city council's minutes and information directory.
Instead that information, and more, can be found in categories at the top of the home page. There is also a tab for projects, with a list of the city's on-going projects, and development.
The city's existing information, minutes from meetings, the state code, city charter, budget and contact information from city officials, is still available.
